Children and grandchildren:
Chris Oleson was born 1970 and lives in Kenmore,WA. He is married and has 3 young children (10 1/2 More…yr old daughter, 5 1/2 year old twins).
Daughter Kim was born in 1972 and lives in North Bend, WA with her significant other. They have a son born November 2013.
Step daughter Danielle was born in 1974.
What does the reality of turning 70 mean to you?

Time spent with family and friends is precious - treasure it.

Favorite High School Memory:

I have many friends that I am still friends with today and that is my best high school memory.
What have you been up to:

How's that for an open ended question? Well, I had a practice marriage and now I know how to do the marriage thing right - well at least 22 years of it right. Got the kids to independence so ended up retiring from Boeing, although I only worked there 10 years. Did that stay at home thing that worked really well.
Have spent much time doing different volunteer things but at the moment only active in a Group that I co-lead with a friend called NorthWest Women in Boating. Yes, we do boat and have our boat moored on Lake Washington. The group of women enjoy monthly programs on topics pertaining to boating.
Yes, I still ski but it has to wait until February this year until the boat show gets over. At least the tickets are getting cheaper and I've made many new friends that I really enjoy skiing with. I have also given Stand Up Paddle Boarding a try and really enjoy it even here in Puget Sound. Not a good idea to fall, as the water really is cold.
Of course I do enjoy flowers and grow interesting ones inside and the normal fun ones outside. I have traveled a fair bit and the flowers of tropical places I've been seem to reside at my house.

So that is more than you really wanted to know, but do know that I am having fun doing many things that interest me and wish I had more energy so I could do more: boating, skiing, sewing, gardening, cooking and teaching my granddaughter crafts and sewing.

Happy Birthday Week and of course Month! As we get older it takes longer to do things so it becomes necessary to celebrate your birthday for the whole month - with your birthday on the 1st of March you will have this week to practice. Enjoy your month and stay safe while you are out running.

January 2013 I am joined by my recycled Halloween and Thanksgiving Pumpkins. They have become again recycled as after 4 months and a can of flock (which I did brush off before recycling) they had deteriorated. Next year I will have a scarf and some unique arms that will not grab people entering the house.
